What you save in discounts, you lose in resale value. For me, it didn't matter because I wanted a car now. You've been at this for so long, I don't see you're in a hurry.

Besides, I've been reading about $1500-$2000 over invoice for 2002 MY cars. Do the legwork and find a good dealer. With the economy still in the dumps, you should still be able to make a good deal.

MSRP doesn't mean anything at all. Just a built-in profit margin. Don't be fooled into thinking that you're ripping the dealer off for trying for less.
