cd changer swap ? (archive)

hey everyone, got a question.
i have a CD changer (bmw 6 cd changer p) that came out of my wife's '97 740il, will this changer
fit my '97 540i ?
This changer looks different then the standard e39 changer, it also has a
different mounting bracket. Is there anyway to be able to use it on my 540?
