Wow, good luck on the upgrade. Unless you find an aftermarket method, I bet you're looking at a couple grand when it's all said and done.

I have the heated seats and steering wheel, but no headlight washers at all. Even in dallas in October both heated seats and steering wheel are quite nice on cool mornings. I also like it at night driving with windows open.

I had heated seats on my 2001 TL but the thermostat on the Fiver seems to work much better. Also the TL had no heated steering wheel which I really like - rather have that than the seats if I had to choose!

As I'm sure all of you know, virtually no E39 originally sold below the Mason-Dixon line has the cold weather package (heated seats/wheel, headlight washers). I don't know why either-every A6 at the Audi dealership has all that stuff. Anyway, that probably means a lot of you are interested in gettin' em. I don't yet know how to do it (lot of dead ends), but I'm gonna figure it out, and I'm curious how many people without heated seats want them, and what they'd pay for an upgrade kit (the switches alone are $110 each at dealerships). Thanks.
