Had the same problem with my '01 530. I took the car to my dealer, who determined it was the bulb. They removed the bulb and then realized that they didn't have the replacement. When he put the same bulb back in, it worked fine and has continued to do so. Check the bulb's connection,maybe the bulb had somehow loosened.

Having weird problems with the left blinker.. instead of the normal blinking pace, it is now very fast (blink blink blink...), and quite annoying.. also along with this, the side and rear left signal lights follow the same increased pace, but the front signal light does not come on at all... very strange.. any tips before I make another dealer trip?
