Curious if anyone has driven the new C230 Sports Coupe.

I drove it, I didn't like driving it much at all, but sitting in it was very impressive. The car is not a great handler. Too much body roll, the tires scream at the slightest hint of enthusiastic driving, there is not very much power(just doesn't feel like 190 hp). Amazingly, I was able to chirp the tires into second gear, sadly, if tires chirp when the car pulls as slowly as it did, I wouldn't brag. The car is just too nice not to have the performance to match. Sure, it isn't horrible, it will hang with many of the current sport coupes out there, but it doesn't out-perform them. I'd be embarrassed if my Mercedes C-Coupe got out accelerated, out-braked, and out-handled by Toyota Celicas and Acura RSX's, but it would, so I didn't buy. No other sport coupe under 30K(yeah right...more like 33-35K) can match the C-Coupe for quality though. The interior of the car was awesome, very well thought out. The moon-roof, an innovation from the 318ti canvas roof, was very nice indeed. The gearbox deserves a better clutch action, because it's short throws were nearly perfect.

Too bad the car had to stay on the lot...a few tweaks an Mercedes could sell these like hotcakes...well they might have to work on the looks a little bit...
