The Bentley Manual for E32 has a Table for Troubleshooting LAD on Page 370-11. There are (Symptom, Probable cause, and Repair) Tables. There are many section on working on LAD. One for example is Ride height, adjusting. There is also a section on Converting LAD rear struts to standard rear struts.

'88 735i (90K)

: I have a '89 735il with 106k on it and the rear end is starting to sag. If I have a self leveling system should the car even out when it is started or is it because my springs are old. Also how do you go about maintaining a self leveling system?

: Thanks, Dave
