: My 1989 750 is leating power steering fluid its comming from a component around by the fuse box it has three or four hoses going into it. And its leaking pretty bad I went out there and there was a river of Pentosin 7.1 all the way to the door. Anyone have any Ideas where the leak could be comming from?
You should be able to tell the difference between coolant and power steering fluid. Steering/brake fluid is reddish-burgandy, and coolant is light green. Sound to me that the valve body for the hydro booster is bad. This happened on my 535i, but I do not know if a 750 uses a hydro or a vacuum booster. You can tell right away by seeing if the car has the bomb. If it does not, you still probably have a leak somewhere in the area of the master cylinder of associated valve bodies.
