In my 730, the passenger side wiper flapped into the other wiper, and I lost both! It was a simple enough matter to remove the cosmetic panel above the linkages (just under the windscreen) and reattach the drive connector, which uses 2 nylon-based rose joints. The nylon was worn on my car (256k miles) so I replaced it. $15.

: : The wiper arm is held on the shaft by one nut, possibly 13mm. The shaft is either tapered, or splined, but in any event, when the nut becomes slightly loose, the arm flaps about. Park the car. open the hood. bring your 13mm box wrench and gently tighten nut at base of arm, with arm where you would want it to be.-Paul T
