As the dealer attacked the center drag link and steering box adjustment (I'm thinking this is the "pre-load" adjustment) I would think they thouroughly inspected the other front suspension parts. This should include upper and lower control arms, tie rods and the upper strut housing bearings.

Rear carrier bushings - The car does wander when these are warn. Other tell tales are clunking when applying power and easing off on the throttle, and, diagonally crossing a bump.

The dealer should be able to assess bushing condition. Mine failed with 180,000 miles and 10 years old.

Another trick I pull is to take it into a reputable 3rd Party alignment shop and have a four wheel thrust alignment. A good technician will dial it in and then move the vehicle and see if the specified measurements are repeatable. If they are not, he picked up the carrier bushings and a front wheel bearings this way.
