There is a memory. It retains the position of the headrest for the last seat user who used the seatbelt with the engine running. The smart box is located under the left rear seat. Without the seatbelt fastened the head rest should be in the retracted position.
I believe the ignition key needs to be in the run position also.

: The drivers side rear seat headrest memory is messed up. Evertime someone in that position buckels up, the headrest fully extends. Is there a memory module or something that causes this?
