FYI: Nokia supports all US standards in one phone model or another: CDMA, TDMA, GSM (PCS freqs), and of course analog. Now if retro kits will be available to accomodate cars prior to 2001 model year...

Nokia 6185

: several GSM-type phones from Nokia, Audiovox and some others.

: Due to the TDMA/CDMA/GSM fiasco in North America, BMW must go with Motorola or other compatible brands.

: : Heard a rumor today from someone in Europe that BMW may be moving away from the Motorola StarTac and going to the Nokia. Not sure if this is Europe specific or not.

: : If so, GREAT ! I've moved from a Nokia to the StarTac (TDMA) to get the integration with my E38 and I'm extremely disappointed in the capabilities of the Motorola phone compared to the Nokia. The car integration is fine, but a Nokia/BMW would be a world class solution.

: : BMW-NA -- are you listening ?
