Breaking in M60 Engine after block replacement ?? (archive)

Hi everyone,

I was just wondering if you had any tips or thoughts to share about breaking in an engine that's just had a Short block replacement. My car is currently at the dealer and I should be getting it back either this weekend or next week with a new block. I don't know much about this kind of stuff.

Also, I'm not sure what kind of oil they put in when they replace the block but I was considering moving to Synthetic and using that from here on. Any thoughts on that would be greatly appreciated.
