i have a '01 740 sport and about the only problem i have had with it is the range on the garage door opener. i need to pull up to within 3 feet of the garage door for the signal to trigger it to open. anyone else with this problem or know of a fix?

Try resetting the unit back to factory defaults and reporgramming it again.
