Got my baby back with a new block ........ Finally (archive)

Finally after two weeks of bumming rides and public transportation, I have my 740il back with a new engine block. I didn't get a loaner car an that sucked big time but so far I think it was worth it. Engine power has noticeably increased from what it was pre-block, idle is smooth, engine is quieter and smoother. Did i mention that true 740 power has been restored. I had forgotten how much fun it was to drive these cars. I'm at 40 miles now since getting the car back from the dealer and I know I still can't push it too hard. I haven't exceeded 2000 rpm but it's still a real blast.
