My airbag light came on. They have never been replaced before, anybody know why it might come on? Has anybody had this experience before? Do you think it could be a sensor gone bad somewhere? On my E36 the ABS light came on once I went to the mechanics he changed a pad sensor and it was gone. I would really appreicate some help on this problem I don't want a mechanic to hit me with a big bill just for diagnosis.

Have the dealership check the sensors in your seats. I had this problem too. I assume your car is still under the 100k mile warranty, so this is a safety issue and they whould take care of it without hassles. Have them check all the sensors.
