My car is at the dealer due to a check engine light. They claim that cylinders 1-8 are misfiring due bad catalytic converters. Any experience with this?

They also mentioned that there could possibly be a bad coil in cylinder 2. I don't know why that would throw a code saying all cylenders were misfiring, please respond.

If it is the case that the cats are bad does anyone have experince with aftermarket or possibly removing the cats all together?

common problem,and yes it will set all those faults,your dealer is correcting the problem.
