Just replaced my cluster. Now the fuel gauge, tech and temp guage will not work.Do need to reset something?Try to avoid dealer cost.
Thanks Jim.

I am getting ready to work on my own cluster for missing pixels. Like to know what caused you to replace yours and if you still have the old one and what a new one cost? I am very interested in finding an old, preferably damaged or non-working unit to disassemble for inspection and minimize downtime when I pull my own. I did get the BMW TIS CD to help make it easier to sort out when I go in and have spoken to some guys who have worked on them.

What I've coem up with is 1. there's a power-on test you can do pretty easily to check em out. I posted on this a few weeks ago. And 2.- basically it sounds like you need to use your old cluster memory module which is one of two redundant units in the car. If they don't match (like someone tampering) then it won't work and needs reseting which just copies the data on one over to the new one. I think your old one is on the wiring harness and detachable/swapable to the new cluster. If that didn't happen then there is no redundancy and it won't work. If you can access the OBD port it will tell you what's up.
