Thanks guys,I should have mentioned that my car is a 98.Apparently "Jon Caldito" thinks that the new cluster needs to be told that it is inside a "740il" as the same cluster is used in various models.Rich do you know how I may do this.

Just replaced my cluster.Now the fuel gauge,tech and temp guage will not work.Do need to reset something?Try to avoid dealer cost.
