It depends on how much money you'd like to spend. Some Euro tuners have power kit for the engine. However, only Racing Dynamics has cams for BMW V8 engines. If my memory serves me well, RD kit includes exhaust, chip, and cams that will give you another 44 HP. The downside is, that kit is not exactly cheap; you can get an ESS superchager for the same price. The cost should be around $4,000. If you have more cash to burn, then the next step is to get a stroker engine. Hartge and Racing Dynamics just released the 5.0L engine for M62 engine. The cost should be at the neighborhood of $17,000. We're talking about 400-420 HP here. The good news is that both are available in the states. Hartge is imported by DAZZ Motorsport. Racing Dynamics is handled by the owner himself. He currently resides in So Cal. As for AC Schnitzer, unfortunately they don't sell any engine kits in the states.I am personally not a big fan of blown engines (except for Lotus Esprit), I had to go with Dinan 3 years ago because no stroker engines were really available at that time in the states. I believe that blowing the engine without any internal modifications would result in higher than normal wear. I wouldn't recommend you to blow the engine if you want to keep it for more than 3 years (assuming you drive it everyday).
Let me know if you want any further info.
