Aspen Silver was not introduced by BMW until the E39 and E38 models were introduced. Delphin grey I think was discontinued in the early 90's with the E32 7-series it's a dark grey metallic with no tint of purple...


Hi all,
I own a 95 E38 730iA and I dont know what the name of the colour is. The dealer told me its Aspen Silver but a friend of mine who is an expert on the cars has told me its called Dolphin Metallic. (I do prefer the name Aspen Silver though). Anyway, we argue about it and its getting pretty anoying not knowing what the colour of your own car is, especially when somebody asks. It has like a tint of violet in it and silver. Does anybody know?
