Just a thought, I have a 95 740il (you ran the car facts for me a few weeks ago!) and replaced the orange corner and side markers with the clear ones...ordered them from Circle BMW in NJ (you can do a search on the web) Corners were $35 a piece and the side markers were $18. I also replaced my old grill with the new 2000 Chrome on Chrome insert for only $35 each and lastly, replaced the rear tail lights with the clear jewel 2000 look for $238 for the pair!

Here's a picture that was taken yesterday (hence my costume). Notice the reflection on the hood. The paint still has lots of reflectivity to it. Thought this might help, please try not to laugh ;-)

I just bought a silver 98 750iL that came from Texas (one of the harshest climates for paint). The car was garaged at night, but sat in the sun during the day. Looks like the paint could use some wax, but I see no problems at all on the roof, trunk lid, or hood. Just my experience so far, your mileage may vary.

I'm considering buying a Silver 98 740I. I'm concerned about paint oxidation problems with it being Silver. Does anyone know about any problems reported or can I get responses from owners of Silver cars what experiences they've had.

Lindsay
