In order to dial the PIN following each phone call you make, you need to do the following:

1 - Activate the "PIN Active" feature:
1a - Using the handset, press FCN, NAME/MENU, 1, 0
1b - If display shows OFF, turn PIN Active On by pressing STO followed by END
1c - If display shows ON, press END

2 - You mut store your PIN code in memory location 07.
2a - Using the handset, enter your PIN code and store in 07.
2b - To store in 07, (after you put in your code) press STO, 0, 7

3 - Making Calls using PIN codes
3a - Dial the number (followed by SND or the phone symbol on the steering wheel, or the on-board monitor handset button.)
3b - When you hear the double tone 'beep beep', press the Tel on steering wheel, SND, or the on board monitor handset button.

You can buy the original manual for your phone at: for $7.75

I hope this helps,

Hi, I have a '96 740iL with analog phone that I bought from a private party; I want to program the phone so that it automatically dials both the phone number and the PIN required by Verizon, does anyone know how to do it? I have tried the sequence of numbers with the pin at the end, that does not seem to work, I've heard of putting *DATA first also? Any suggestions?
