My bumper moldings also had some minor scrapes that bugged the heck out of me. So, I replaced them myself, especially after receiving a $500+ estimate from a "respectable" body shop! What's more, the parts (driver's side chrome trim and black rubber molding) only cost me approximately $100! Anyway, the moldings are only held on by tabs that slide and snap into groves on the bumper. You should be able to unlock them by sliding them either to the right or left, and may have to use something flat (ie. screwdriver) to carefully pull one end off first. They should just pull right off though.
