Self Leveling Suspension noise! (archive)

Hi! Im a newly owner of a BMW 750i 1997

I've been hearing weird sounds from what I think is the trunk-area. Now and then when I stop infront of a trafic-light or any other stop I sometimes hear a weird sound coming from the back as if I was hit by another car. This has happened even just after I parked the car and turned of the engine (not from gearbox). I think it must be located in the self leveling suspension. Anyone had any similuar problems in this area?
