None really,catalyst convertors are prone to disintigrate after 80k,instrument cluster is prone to loose pixels,that's about it that I know.Good luck.(awsome car for money,especially used).Try ebay.

I have a '94 530i, and am going to purchase a '96 to '98 740il. Are there any special problem areas to look out for? Any special web sites specifically about the 740il or 740il? I HAVE to get the 740il for the leg room. Thanks in advance.
