Hi all,
This afternoon, I decided I would try out the jack of my New BMW 730iA. I placed the jack strut into the socket and wound. There was an almighty Twang after the wheel lifted off the ground and with fear, I quickly rewound and removed the jack. Now, there is a noticeable plastic piece hanging underneath the rear left jack socket like a mudguard. Has this happened to anyone before? Have I done something costly? What is that broken looking "flap". I have changed from a Mercedes to a BMW and am starting to doubt the quality of the "Roundel" compared to the three pointed star.
Nothing like this ever happened on my Merc.
Any info would be greatly appreciated ASAP, before I get the dealer to take a look and charge me.
Thanks in Advance,
Charles.
