how does the back seat come out of the e38 so as i can get access to the light module


The seat cushion is removed by lifting it abruptly from the front, lower area of each side, thereby releasing the snap retainer that holds it down. Then, slide if forward slightly and out.

Removal of the seat back, if desired, is now possible. There are retaining bolts located along the base. You must also remove the headrests -- raise them to their highest position then give them an abrupt tug up and their rataining clip will give way.
