Offset is the big issue for the 7er.....you will need and offset of somewhere between 22mm and 10mm, depending on the width of the wheel. Typically wheels off the 5er and 8er will work, but not the 3ers.

PS- there has been much discussion of this on the E32 board (applicable for your year 740). check the archives there for more info

can i replace these wheels with any other 5 lug bmw factory wheels or are they're only certian wheels that will work on the car?
