Correct... Have the dealer check the current draw while the car is idle. If no appreciable current draw is detected, have them replace the battery. Escalate this up to bmwNA if they don't.


So the dealer is saying that anytime you park at the airport for a trip you need to bring a charger?

Find another dealer and report those jerks to BMW.

The problem is either a defective battery or some circuit which draws excessive current while the car is parked. A new car should go AT LEAST a month without needing a jump start.

If the battery is OK, they should measure the current draw with the car off. If the battery goes dead in a few days, it should be maybe half an ampere. Then remove fuses one at a time til you find the bad circuit.
