2001 7 series Sideskirts/aprons (archive)

Hi,

the latest 2001 7 series has been given several tweaks over the yr 2000 model i.e its been given a fresher look... body coloured sideskirts and front/rear aprons... they are supposedly wider and lower than the previous model.

This certainly looks better than the black finished look on the 1999/2000 model.

My questions are

1) can this be fitted onto (bought seperately) the 1999/2000 model?

2) Or is it worth just painting the body colour over the black finish? Would it look the same? give similar effect? has anyone tried this?
