I am not concerned because when the lease on my current 740iL is up it will be july of 2002 and the E65 745i will be in its second year, I dont anticipate a high demand at that time as I see many Sclass available immeadiately. This is also good because I dont want to own a BMW in its first year of production when they typically have the most problems, especially electrical, and this car is gonna be loaded with all the new gadgets. Well good luck, just my situation, for you I would go an find out jsut to be on the safe side, or wait until its officially unveiled at the frankfurt autoshow next year just to be sure you want it.
