Don't know about the phone question. I would suggest that you buy the Sport version of the 740i. Having had both versions, the Sport is definitely a wiser choice. Enjoy!

I am about to purchase a 2001 740i. I currently have a motorola startac digital phone with SprintPCS service. Can I simply take the new BMW phone that comes in the car and bring it to the local SprintPCS store and have it programmed for my SprintPCS Service? Do I have to request a specific type of phone from BMW which will work with the SprintPCS network?

Also, I have read some conversation in the past regarding voice activation of the integrating cell phone. Is this available in the 2001 7-series? If not, is it coming or is there any way I can get voice activation?
