The unsprung weight of the steel wheels will change the handling and ride quality of the car. Spring rate will change and the ride will degrade somewhat because of the added axle weight. And you will need different lug nuts. But other than that you can run weather beater tires and steel wheels. Sounds much more practical than fancy aluminun rims.
