HELP!
Anyone know where I can buy Michelin Pilot SX MXX3
245/45zr18
235/50zr18
for my 2000 740i Sport. Had a blowout and need replacement tire(rear). Can't seem to find them online.

Thanks

I called Michelin customer service yesterday and asked the, "What is the 255/45ZR18, MXX3 avaliability question?" They said there are none in the US and there is no planned date to manufacture any in France(the only plant). They said, the MXX3 is planned to be the tire on the 740 sport through the 2002 model year so they will be avaliable sooner or later. I have heard this before in 1998 when I was looking for them for my 740i accessory wheels I purchased. I was eventually able to buy 3 from the Tire Rack and 2 from a tire shop in my local area. If you need just one you should be able to buy one from your local BMW dealer, at a premium, as a replacement tire. BMW is able to bring them in from the BMW factory in Dingolfing where they have their own stock for the Sport model production. When they are avaliable I buy enough to get me through the shortage and then I replenish my stock when they are avaliable again. I have an order in now with the Tire Rack and they are a month overdue on their projected delivery date. I won't need another pair of them for another 10-15k miles but buying them now is necessary otherwise I'd need to run Pilot Sports or Dunlops as an alternate.
