I just went through this with a Euro delivery. BMW has two phones that you can get. Neither are voice activated both are StarTac. One uses CDMA protocol and the other TDMA. Call Sprint and ask if either will work on the Sprint system. We have ATT Wireless and Verizon. Could not get Wireless web with ATT could with Verizon. Voice activation will be included with new 2002 7 series according to BMW. Phone software is not great on the 740i. They dumped the audiovox phone and got a better one but never changed the software. For example while the StarTac will allow you to store multiple numbers for each person (like home office cell etc), the software will only retrieve the first one stored for each person. Also the on screen display is awkward to use. Rest of the car is great though
