740i Sport -- will I be happy? (archive)

I currently have a 540i Six Speed. I'm looking to get away from a manual transmission, as I'd like to enjoy the luxury side of things. I'm looking seriously at a 2001 740i-sport.

Will I be happy with this decision??

I appreciate any advice/thoughts you may have.
