Your DVD system sounds great! Did you design the removable stand or did you purchase it from a car stereo shop? I'm thinking of buying a portable DVD PLayer/LCD & plugging it into A/V plug below the rear vent. Need some way to mount it and your method sounds great. Do you know if I'd get stereo sound using the rear plug?
