Does anybody experience that the E38 alarm system always goes off if the weather is too cold? Any fix for this?

Are you certain that its the cold weather that is causing the alarm to activate? I have a '97 740i and the alarm system began to occasionally activate for no apparent reason. I was told by BMW that they were experiencing problems with the interior motion sensors. BMW replaced mine under warranty and the problem was corrected.

Anyway, if your problem is definitely related to the temperature I'm not sure I can help.

Good luck.
