I have a 2000 740i Sport, the car is great, and it drives and handles like it is much smaller. Cabin will feel much bigger from the 5, I don't find the Steptronic system all that "sporting". Typically I will leave a red light in first, shift to second and then side slap it back into Sport Auto Mode.
It is definately more fun than my 740iL.
