After reading several auto magazines articles about the X5 you may reconsider trading one problem child for another. The X5 line in wholely American built and has had more than their share of electrical problems. Also squeeks and rattles seem to be inherent to the line. Maybe BMW has not gotten the whole truck SUV assembly process down just yet. But other than those very few problems, the style, comfort, power and well thought out X5 series seems to be BMW's biggest seller in years so they must be doing something right. Milt
