The stand came with the monitor which I got on the web from eBay. It's a 6.4' LCD made by Mobile Authority (some cheap repackaging of an OEM LCD).

I can remove the monitor and just leave the adapter without a problem. Same image is seen front and back when I select video on the TV.

Sounds goes through the stereo system. I can attach earphones to the monitor but never tried that.
