What some may have not previously known, and by the way just recently became known by myself, is the regular users of the 7 and 8 boards do not have to tolerate, vulgarity, profanity, pornography, flame wars, racism, insulting remarks and other misappropriate behavior. As a public board the 7 and 8 series boards are especially susceptable to people who post a provacative message just to stir up the beehive mainly because it is widely known we don't like it. For the last couple of months the frequency of these actions have increased much to our dismay. So it is with great pleasure to inform all the regular users that a simple remedy is available to us, besides posting useless angry responses which do nothing to curb the unpleasantness. Simply email the webmaster aka Alan with the full address (www.bimmer.org/7series/messages/messages/xxxx.html) and he will remove the offending remarks from the boards. I have used him extensively in the past 2 weeks and he is a very efficient terminator. Some it took only 10 minutes from my email and others about 24 hours. He doesn't police the boards as it is not his profession. He runs the boards in his spare time. It was I who had him delete the terrible exhange betwwen Mike T, Ya think, and Jaguar Man. None of the hostile remarks had anything to do with helping Jay out with his situation. Therefore they were summarily removed.

There are times when enthousiasts diametrically opposes one anothers opinion and the language may be hard. But that is okay as long as insults, condescending language, profanity don't come into play. Disagreement allows readers to make up their own minds about various topics and make the board a stronger place to obtain information.

Although there is nothing we can do to stop people from posting whatever they want but it is within our power to police the boards ourselves and eliminate those posts. The webmaster is behind you 100%.

What is it with everyone on this board?
Suddenly, we are seeing an outburst of pathetic behaviour and screaming obscenities. Swearing at each other isn't going to solve any of our problems. I have seen that alot of you are prejudice towards drivers of other vehicle makes; for example, Lexus and Mercedes-Benz. I have found that alot of you people have anger problems towards these drivers. Now come on! What difference should our opinion make? Whether the Merc is better riding than the Bimmer or what, and what exactly is this old fart business?!
I find it more informative to read the E32 forum, and I dont get all the nonsense and swearing that I do here.
To put it short and sweet, to those who are very uptight and dont appreciate the presence of other non-bmw fans, either go back to junior school, or get a life.

And If you see spelling mistakes and grammatical errors in my messages, that is because I've only just woken up, and Im only 15!
