A clean 95 740i/iL with a new replacement engine may very well represent the best "sweet-spot" in the high-end car market. You get a new engine and the current body style for a small fraction of the cost of a new one. I would estimate the range for this type of car to currently be anywhere from $24-$26K. If you buy a car where the engine has not yet been replaced, you may end up paying $500-$1000 in repairs that the dealer WILL find as they do the replacement. FOr me it was anew radiator = $800. Cha-ching.

I want opinions on how these cars are? How do they hold value? What is a black 95 w 50k worth in great shape? Any problems to watch out for?
