Power fold mirrors (archive)

Does anyone know how to get round the speed-related cutout on the power fold mirrors? On my 95 e38 750iL the mirrors will only fold in if the car is virtually at a complete standstill; there have been a couple of occasions where it would have been helpful to be able to pull the mirrors in while the car was still rolling (the streets are pretty narrow over here in the UK). Anyone dealt with this?
