Although I really like the system, I'm VERY disappointed with the NavTech data. For their map covering New England, updates are very sluggish, and coverage has not improved at all in 4 years. NavTech claims it's an issue with BMW; BMW points to NavTech as the data supplier.
Is there any interest in forming some kind of group to give collective and constructive customer feedback to both BMW and NavTech? I'd like to see some kind of advisory board speak for a large number of customers and get some attention focused on this long-standing issue.
I am willing to coordinate such an effort. Please email me if you're interested. Thanks.
Mitch, I would be glad to help you in any way that I can. I have a 2000 740il and have every disc except the western NY/Midwest one. I agree with you and have E-mailed NavTech several times about this issue. The response was minimal and dismissive. I have driven FL to CA/NV and back with it. All discs are full of errors. Microsoft Steets 98 & Delorme Street Atlas 6.0 is much superior to Nav Tech. We'll need more guys to help. My E-mail is skipreb@earthlink.net
