Service Indicator Reset (archive)

I just bought a 740 -95 and since I´m used to doing all maintetance work myself I now wonder how the service indicator is reset. Is it the same procedure as with e.g. E34 cars, by shorting across the pins 9 and 17 in the diagnostic connector?
