That trick doesn't work on most of the 97/98 NAV units brought into the US. I even had a dealer willing to turn it on for me and his best guy said it couldn't be done because of the US control unit in my car. We'll see if this chip works or not. The dealer said getiing a TV control module
from Germany could work also, he wished me luck. I *WILL* make this option work.

The rear input for A/V is mono so even if it works, the sound won't be very good. I have ordered the chip from the link you listed to try it out as they claim this chip will enable the TV in my 97 to work while driving....I'll keep you posted!


my buddy, a fiver sport, turned me on to this site. tv is here for anyone with a '98 and older. for '99 and later, tv with dvd input may be ready by february! i sent an email requesting it asap... maybe we should all send one to demonstrate the need?
