HI, I have a m Roadster and I am considering the purchase of a 740i for my wife. We live in Maryland and get some but not alot of snow. For example today we are getting about two inches and my M without snow tires slides all over the road. How does the new 7 series do without snow tires in the winter? My wife keeps a car for along time. She is now driving a 1989 Volvo 740 with over 200,000 miles.
Thanks
Marty S

My M Roadster stays in the garage during snow & ice conditions, and much of the winter for that matter. As a daily driver I have driven a E32 88 735iL for almost 10 yrs. It does very well in the snow with Yoko AVS skins. Highly recommended as a daily driver & airport car. Wife has a 98 740i which also does well in the snow, but we rarely have more than one week a year of it in Olympia, Wa. Doesn't matter because when two snow flakes fall in the next county she would get nervous driving anything including a Hummer. Good luck, you will love the E38.
