Despite the fact that I hear the 7-iL engine's sounds when Im dreaming, i promise not to overdo it when telling you this:

Concerning your 7-series choice, there's no question about it: You can't luv a 7 and yet be similarly attracted to any other series... So yep, go for it.

Concerning the Long Chassis, the only remarkable difference you can "feel" while motoring is the 0-60mph launch...these 0.9 secs...now unless you care about extracting every horse out of your e38 i dont think this should be a worry... oh, and 1 more thing... i just discovered recently that if u ever wanna change your rear lights to the bright 2000 model ones, you can only do that on an iL...coz theyre around 2mm wider... (that's a catch)

Apart from that, i think you'll be 1 of the 675,000 98-iL owners who's smile is gonna change for quite sometime... Enjoy !

I am currently looling at 98 740i an il. Any advice on choosing between the two other than the obvious size difference. Any thoughts on buying a certified pre owned dealer car or buying from another source given the price difference from the dealer. I would also appreciate any advice on things to be aware of when shopping for this car...specific equipment ect. Thanks
