Just make sure you get a set of 4 snow tires and a 740i/L will go anywhere in any amount or type of snow. You'll leave all of the 4WD SUV's in the dust. I've got a 2000 323i and have a set of Bridgestone Blizzzak's for that and my dad has a 94 and 97 LS400 shod with Blizzaks and all the cars do great in the snow... it's never even a worry. He is picking up an 2001 740iL on Friday and already has the snows ready to put on that car.

I'm considering the purchase of a 740il. I live in Michigan and have driven front wheel drive cars for the last several years (Seville & Aurora). These cars have been great in the snow. I recently tried a Lexus LS400 and it was terrible. Wanted to know what kind of experience you snow belt guys have had. Do you use snow tires?

Thanks
Steve
